'Agro Advantage Mumbai' was an international exhibition that brought in a life changing experience in Mr. Sarangdhar Nirmal’s life. The light of transformation clicked here in the very exhibition when this young, dynamic individual was getting to become an Industrialist. Pladot, an Israel based company had put up a stall showcasing the milk business in Maharashtra along with the statistics that forecasted the milk business in Ahmednagar in particular would have a great future! He met Mr. Yevuda and Mr. Ujiwillis in the stall who gave him a lot of information about the future potential of milk business in Ahmednagar. Without wasting a single moment, this young Nirmal left from Mumbai to Shrirampur and conducted a lot of surveys for next six months. Along with other members of his family he went to Amul Dairy, Karnataka Milk Federation, Surat and many co-operatives to study their business pattern, milk processing units, pouch milk dealership, milk collection timings, where to sell, how to sell, what should be done with the unsold milk, how to manage the financials, etc.

The next step was to knock at the banks for loans. Bank of Maharashtra, Shrirampur branch came in as a rescue and the project was thus financed. Initially the term loan for the project was of Rs. 1 Crore with a cash credit limit of Rs. 10 Lacs. Initial milk shade area was only from three talukas, Shrirampur, Rahata and Rahuri while initial milk handling capacity of the plant was 25,000 Litres per day which now has crossed 10 lac litres per day! This is how an industrialist in Shrirampur was born.

Mr. Sarangdhar Nirmal is also lovingly called as ‘Bade Anna’ (that means elder brother) by people in and around Ahmednagar. He is a connoisseur of Music. He personally gets events organised for his employees, participates and enjoys all sorts of corporate and family events. He loves kids, students and keeps guiding and motivating them to always achieve the best in their lives. He is a follower of OSHO Rajnish. He was graced with 'The Lokmat Corporate Excellence Award' 2016 for his contribution towards the society and bringing all the farmers under one umbrella towards a common goal of serving the society with quality milk.

A firm believer in team work, always sets examples by himself, uses latest technological applications and inculcates team work amongst his subordinates and maintains synergy within the organisation. As the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, he is involved in the business, management and operations of the Company. Being a farmer he is continuously involved in working closely with one lac milk producers to uplift their livelihood & their dairy farming business.

Dr. Abdul Samad I has completed M.V.Sc., Ph.D. University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada Canadian Commonwealth Fellow. He has more than 33 years in veterinary science and animal husbandry. He has experience of above 28 years as Professor. He acted as Administrator as Dean of the College, Faculty and Director in the University for seven years. He is the holder of 12 patents on various research-based products. He has handled several multilateral research projects funded by Department of Biotechnology, GoI and Indian and foreign industries. He has acted on several national and state-level committees on animal husbandry and veterinary sciences and he is also a Member of National Innovation Foundation, GoI, Ahmedabad.

Contribution in field of agriculture : - In 1996 promoted group approach to increase the outreach of KVK where Innovative Farmers Club (Prayog Pariwar), Farmers Club (Youth Farmers) and SHGs (Farm Women) were involved networking more than 20000 farmers.
- In the year 2000 first time in the country started working on use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in agriculture.
- During the year 1995 promoted Organic farming concept which was new that time. Book written on organic farming in 1995 is very popular and more than 50000 copies were sold. For adoption of organic farming promotion and production of bio-pesticides, bio-fertilizers and bio-food was done
- Promoted drumstick as commercial crop first time in Maharashtra during 1997 by introduction of PKM 1 variety
- In 1998 promoted innovative technologies for sustainable production of sugarcane. Second book on Sustainable Sugarcane production was written and more than 7000 copies has been sold.
- Development and promotion of Meadow Orchard system for guava cultivation from 2007 which is now being adopted on large scale.
- Loose housing for dairy was introduced by KVK during 2010 to reduce drudgery, increase the income and attract the youths towards this enterprises which was implemented on large scale on mission mode. Similarly various methods of silage production was introduced first time in district in 2012
- Member of working group on rain fed agriculture and Agriculture Extension, women empowerment and agri., Planning Commission, GOI, for 11th and 12th Five Year Plan. Similarly worked as member of different committees at state and national level. Appointed as expert to evaluate various projects by state and central government.
- Presented more than 12 papers in national and international conferences. Published 10 research and more than 200 popular articles on different issues of agriculture and allied sector. More than 15 TV talk and 100 radio talk were broadcasted.
- Visited Israel, Egypt and Netherlands to study agriculture technologies.
